As you may have seen on our home page Biomet was set up as an engineering company producing new products to improve on existing offerings to the market place. This has never and will never change. As with all medical products and practices, boundaries are frequently extended and often broken by Biomet in our search for better solutions for healthcare professionals and patients. We are proud of our engineering reputation as an innovator within the Medical Devices industry and will continue to lead from the front in our product fields.

Our guiding principle is respect and tolerance for our colleagues recognising the important contribution of diverse cultures, backgrounds and viewpoints. We also believe in developing our own internal capability through individual development of all of our team members whether it be in manufacturing products more effectively and teaching new skills to manage more modern plant, introducing new management systems to support our Sales teams, introducing new product training for our teams or upgrading the qualifications of our engineering and research team members. Biomet believes in developing a highly competent and qualified team in all departments and at all levels of the organisation.
You will find that many Biomet team members have spent their careers with us and this generates a loyalty not so common in other markets nowadays. Equally though we have grown significantly over the past 5 years developing new capabilities and attracting many new team members either as graduates or apprentices. They have swiftly adopted a similar loyal and enthusiastic endorsement of Biomet’ principles and plans for the future.
Many have previously described Biomet as a “sleeping giant” in many of our markets due to our engineering excellence but our tendency to “hide our lights under a bushel”. This is no more, as we grow ahead of the market and even invest in buying some companies where we see synergistic opportunities for growth in the future.
