Features of the ReCap Hip Resurfacing System

ReCap Acetabular cup

• The Titanium closed pore porous coating helps initiate mechanical interlocking and osseointegration. The cups are available with or without HA coating.
• 4 pairs of fins enhance rotational stability and internal fixation of the acetabular component.
• The hemispherical acetabular cup has an outer diameter from  44 to 66mm (in 2mm incr.) to produce a precise anatomical fit.
• The thicker oversized shells address case where acetabular and femoral head diameters mismatch occur.

ReCap resurfacing femoral head

• The cemented resurfacing femoral head range from 38 to 60 mm. Fixation of the head is achieved through a 0.5mm cement mantle. 
• The inner surface has an interlock® grit blast finish to enhance the bone / implant interface.
• The fluted central post of variable length across the range aids alignment of the femoral implant.
