The primary fixation of the cup is ensured by the concentric and vertical ridges which help increase the cement interdigitation and rotational stability. The secondary fixation is optimised thanks to the highly polished surface finish. It minimises the micro-motion stresses at the interface cement/implant and consequently limits the risk of cement debris generation. In situations with severe acetabular bone defects, the Avantage™ Cemented cup can be coupled with an Avantage™ reinforcement plate.
